These terms govern your use of whiskmath.com (the "Site"). By using the Site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
Important disclaimer
WhiskMath's calculators, charts, and articles provide estimates for general information only. They are not professional culinary, nutritional, medical, or food- safety advice. Cooking times, temperatures, ingredient quantities, and yields depend on countless variables — your oven, your ingredients, your altitude, and your equipment. Always verify safe internal temperatures with a calibrated food thermometer against current USDA (or your local food- safety authority) guidance before serving. When in doubt, cook longer, chill sooner, and throw it out.
Use of the Site
You may use the Site for personal, non-commercial cooking and baking purposes, and for internal use in a professional kitchen. You may share links to individual calculator results freely. You may not:
- Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download the Site outside the terms of our robots.txt.
- Reverse-engineer, resell, or repackage the calculators or the underlying data as your own product.
- Frame or embed the Site in a way that misrepresents its origin.
- Attempt to interfere with the Site's operation, security, or availability.
Our content
All text, code, layouts, and original data on the Site are © WhiskMath and are licensed to you for personal use only. You may quote short passages with attribution. You may not republish articles or reference tables in full without written permission.
Content you send us
If you send us feedback, suggestions, or corrections, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that feedback to improve the Site. We will not identify you publicly without your permission.
Third-party links and ads
The Site links to third-party websites for reference and, once enabled, displays advertising from third-party ad networks. We don't control those sites or ads and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, privacy practices, or products. Your interactions with third parties are between you and them.
No warranty
The Site is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy of results. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any calculation is exact for your specific situation.
Food safety
Several calculators reference safe internal temperatures for meat, poultry, and seafood. Those references are based on USDA guidance current at the time of writing. Food-safety guidance evolves, and your local authority may differ. Always cook to a safe internal temperature verified with a calibrated thermometer. If any calculator's output conflicts with current USDA or your local food-safety authority guidance, follow the authority.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WhiskMath and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Site or reliance on any output of the Site — including but not limited to under-cooked or over- cooked food, kitchen accidents, allergic reactions, or ruined recipes. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Site will not exceed one hundred US dollars (US $100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or damages. In those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the smallest extent permitted by law.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WhiskMath and its operator from any claim, loss, or expense arising out of your misuse of the Site or your violation of these terms.
Privacy
Our privacy policy is incorporated into these terms by reference. Please read it to understand what we collect and how we handle it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when. If we make material changes we will surface a notice on the Site. Your continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of WhiskMath resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer-protection law grants you the right to sue in your place of residence.
